World’s Best Burger 

Ok so I self proclaimed it’s the world’s best burger but I think you might agree once you make it !  For all you Trader Joes’s lovers all of the ingredients came from there ! Woooo Hooooo! I’m so excited and bummed i could only eat 2!!!!!! 

1 pound ground chicken 

1 pound ground pork 

1/2 small diced caramelized onion (save the other half for burger sauce 

3 green onions, dices 

1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped 

1 egg yolk 

1 tablespoon Harissa Sauce 

1 tablespoon granulated garlic 

1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt 

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper 

  • First small dice an onion and caramelize in your favorite fat until soft and golden brown. 

  • Combine all of the ingredients careful not to overmix. 
  • Make 8 rounds (I used a cookie scoop) 
  • Heat indoor or outdoor grill until smokey. 
  • Shape your patties and cook 4 minutes on each side. You should have nice dark grill marks. 
  • Lettuce wrap and use onion sauce. 


Shrimp Cocktail a la Fergie 

I could eat this every single day of my life !  This type of food makes me happy! Light, crunchy, tangy, spicy and so incredibly satisfying! 

Shrimp Cocktail a la Fergie 

3 pounds large/extra large cooked shrimp 

1 large red onion, diced small

4-5 roma tomato, seeded, diced 

1 whole Cilantro bunch, chopped 

4 red radish, fine diced 

4 Persian Cucumbers, diced 

2 large haas avocado, cubed 

32 ounce bottle of Organic Tomato Juice 

6 lemons, juice only 

1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar 

1/4 cup hot sauce (I used Cholula)

Salt and pepper to taste 

  • Combine all ingredients in large bowl. 
  • Adjust the salt and pepper. 
  • Allow flavors to marry at least an hour before serving. 
  • Adjust salt and pepper before serving. 

BananaMacFlax Chocolate Chip Muffins 

We are back to school here at the Ferguson Household! Wanted to welcome my favorite boy with some healthy muffins.  Dug out some frozen bananas and here you go… 

3 bananas, ripe and mashed 

1/2 cup olive oil or avocado oil 

3 eggs 

1/2 cup maple or honey 

1/2 cup milk alternative (I used almond) 

2 heaping tablespoons almond butter 

1 tablespoon vanilla 

  • Whisk all of the above and set aside. 

1 1/2 cups Cup 4 Cup Gluten Free Flour 

1/4 cup flaxmeal 

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 

1/2 teaspoon baking powder 

1/2 teaspoon sea salt 

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 

  •  Whisk all of the above and set aside. 

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup macadamia nuts, chopped 

Coconut Sugar for topping 

  • Mix all of the ingredients and pour into 16 cupcake molds. 
  • Sprinkle with coconut sugar and bake for 17 minutes. 

Shrimp Salad with Avocado Dressing

I don’t have a sweet tooth! Not many believe that but I hardly ever crave sweets! What I crave is savory, crunchy! This salad is fulfills my every craving ! It’s simple, crunchy, fresh and virtually guilt free.  

Shrimp & Salad with Keto Friendly Avocado Dressing

1 pound shrimp, peeled, cooked, cooled

4 Persian Cucumbers, diced 

1 1/2 avocado, cubed 

1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped 

Keto Friendly Avocado Dressing

You will want to spread this all over you like lotion!  I am super excited about this Dressing and look forward to putting it on EVERYTHING! 

1/2 avocado 

1/2 cup cilantro

2 green onions 

1 garlic clove 

Juice of 1 lemon 

Juice of 2 limes 

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 

3 tablespoons avocado or olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt 

1 teaspoon monk fruit sweetener (optional) 

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper 

– Blend until smooth. 

*Good in refrigerator for up to 1 week. 

Keto Chocolate Fat Bombs

1 cup organic heavy cream 

1 pound bittersweet chocolate, chips or chopped

3 tablespoons coconut oil 

Monkfruit sweetener to taste 

Raw cacao powder to roll in

  • Pour the heavy cream into saucepan and heat until just before boiling. 
  • Remove from heat and pour the chocolate, coconut oil and 1 teaspoons of sweetener. 
  • Whisk until smooth, taste and add 1/2 teaspoon of sweetener at a time.  Mix well in between adding sweetener so you don’t overdo it.
  • Pour into small Casserole and either refrigerate over night or place in freezer for 1 hour.
  • Check and make sure the truffle mixture is firm. 
  • Using a small cookie scoop make your truffles setting them on parchement covered sheet pan. 
  • Roll in cacao powder if you would like. 
  • Keep refrigerated 

Keto Flax Dough 

I’ve been playing with this recipe trying to get it just right.  I hated the levening taste I would get every time I made it … I tried using less only to end up with a flat and boring muffin… so here’s what I did! 

Keto Basic Flax Dough 

1 cup Flax Meal 

2 large egg 

1/4 cup warm water 

1 tablespoon olive or coconut oil

1 teaspoon baking powder (make sure it’s gluten Free) 

1 teaspoon onion powder 

1/4 teaspoon oregano 

1/4 teaspoon sea salt 

  • Heat a large cast iron skillet. 
  • Whisk together all ingredients and allow to sit for at least 5 minutes but no more than 10. 
  • Place 5 English muffin molds on hot skillet and brush ghee, lard or coconut oil all around the mold and on skillet side. 
  • Allow to heat until you start to see a little smoke. 
  • Regrease if you feel nessesary. 
  • Using a medium/large cookie scoop, scoop a nice heaping amount in each mold. 
  • You will have exactly enough for 5 muffins.
  • You will see them rise beautiful and almost come to the top of the mold. Once this happens using a metal spatula flip the muffin with the mold. 
  • Cook until this side as nice and golden brown. 

Makes 5 Muffins . 

To make pizza crust : 

  • Heat oven to 425.
  • Line a pizza pan with parchment paper. 
  • Brush the parchment paper with olive oil, lard or coconut oil. 
  • After whisking the ingredients and allowing them to rest pour the mixture into the middle to parchement covered pizza pan.  Using a spatula or wet fingers spread the dough to desired thickness. 
  • Bake until nice and fluffy (about 8 minutes) 
  • Take out… top and place back in oven until the cheese is melted and you are done. 

Bacon Wrapped Chicken Meatballs 

These are little bacon wrapped balls of goodness ! You can grill , bake or AirFry them.  Super easy to make and so delicious ! 

1 pound ground chicken 

3 green onions, diced 

2 teaspoons of your favorite Seasoning 

1 pkg Applewood Bacon, cut in half 

  • Mix the chicken, green onions, and seasoning.  Combine well. 
  • Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop a portion of ground chicken into the middle of bacon strip, roll around the meatball and  hold together with a toothpick. 
  • Grill or AirFry for 17 minutes on high. 
  • Serve hot! 

Gluten Free Protein Pizza Dough 

My son is a lover of Pizza ! I think if he had it daily he would be fine with that! Of course I’m always on the hunt for healthier options … this dough is stupid good! Does not break apart or get soggy… holds up to the sauce, cheese and as many toppings as you cram on it ! Here’s how I made it ! 

2 3/4 cup bobs red mill 1 to 1 gluten free flour 

1/2 cup flaxmeal 

1/4 cup chia seeds 

1 teaspoon sea salt 
1 cup warm water 

2 1/2 teaspoons yeast 

1 teaspoon sugar or honey 
1 egg 

3 tablespoons olive oil 

  • Combine the flour, flaxmeal, chia seeds and salt … mix and set aside . 
  • Combine the warm water, yeast and salt or honey in another bowl and allow to bloom at least 5 minutes. 
  • In your stand mixer combine the dry ingredients with the bloomed liquid and the egg and oil. 
  • Set timer to 10 minutes and knead in stand mixer.  Stop it if you have to to scrape the sides until everything is incorporated. 
  • Place your dough ball in greased bowl, cover, place in warm dark spot and allow to rise for 1 hour! Let it rise ! It will double in size. 
  • Divide dough in half and either roll on floured surface or press down to shape.  
  • Makes 1 thin crust pizzas or one thick crust. 
  • Poke a few holes before baking in a 450 degree oven for 8 minutes … 
  • Take out, sauce and top, bake an additional 5 minutes or until your cheese is gooey and melted ! 

Bourbon Maple Peppered Bacon 

I made this for our Mother’s Day Brunch at work and I was surprised at how excited people were over it! Especially because it is incredibly easy to make ! Here’s how I made it … 

2 pounds Peppered Bacon 

1 cup Bourbon Barrel-Aged Pure Maple Syrup by Williams-Sonoma 


1 cup maple syrup & 2 tablespoons Bourbon 

  • Preheat oven to 375 
  • Cover 2 sheet pans with parchment paper 
  • Arrange the bacon on sheets and back for 10-12 minutes until par-cooked (not crispy), drain and pat grease off with paper towels.  
  • In a skillet combined the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Pure Maple Syrup or the maple with Bourbon and the par-cooked Bacon. 
  • Simmer for 25-30 minutes on low.  Do not allow to get too hot, it will burn the maple syrup.  Turn with tongs every few minutes. 
  • The syrup should get very thick and be nice and absorbed into bacon.
