Paleo Banana Chocolate Chip Almond Butter Swirl Bread

Before our household went paleo I would make my girls banana bread swirled with peanut butter and tons of chocolate chips!  It was the perfect water polo game and swim meet… not to mention it tasted insanely good.  Now that we are paleo I have tweaked it … and boy am I glad I did! Check this out!!!

Any suggestions on spreading the almond butter? Is this done before it goes in the oven? If so mine just seemed to sink in in globs. 2nd time around I cooked the batter for a while then tried to spread it on top and made a big mess. All good ingredients and tastes great regardless. Maybe I should wait till it comes out of the oven. Thanks.

Hmmm… not sure. Maybe soften the almond butter in bowl with a whisk beforehand. I just pour the batter in the pan and spoon big swirls of the almond butter over the top and then bake. Let me know how else I can help. xoxo
